Defensa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Memento mori the free kick. A collision led to Defensa getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Ihazintu Veidazar hit a great ball. Defensa's Ihazintu Veidazar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Xilo Avecilla in the 21 minute of the game. Xarles Arruta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lapurdi Calzada, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cordarrol Amezua in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xarles Arruta saved Defensa from getting behind. Mino Artolozaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xarles Arruta having to interfere. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With 52 minutes on the clock, Nunez Villela commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Socorro Antoñana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Memento mori left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Defensa.
