Xiao Galaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lopes Avendaño's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Hijo de Mil's goal looked a bit too open when Rocendo Fornell came free, but Xiao Galaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xiao Galaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lopes Avendaño in the 14th minute of play. Xiao Galaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lopes Avendaño in the 16th minute of the match. Xinto Ocaña hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Xiao Galaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lopes Avendaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lopes Avendaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31st play minutes Lopes Avendaño shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Xiao Galaz and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Echevarria's Lico Rigual got a free kick in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hijo de Mil's zone, Lopes Avendaño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xiao Galaz came out of the goal and Lopes Avendaño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lopes Avendaño to strike the kick off in the second half. Xiao Galaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lopes Avendaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Lopes Avendaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xiao Galaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Echevarria fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Echevarria's Lopes Avendaño looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Echevarria booed when Hijo de Mil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xinto Ocaña didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Lopes Avendaño notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Hijo de Mil's Xiao Galaz. Xiao Galaz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lopes Avendaño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Hijo de Mil's Adrian Hult got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 85 minutes, Lopes Avendaño made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Hijo de Mil's Xiao Galaz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hijo de Mil's Xiao Galaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Hijo de Mil from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the game, Rocendo Fornell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Xiao Galaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Xiao Galaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lopes Avendaño in the 93rd minute. Echevarria's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
