Eugenio Burgoa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reimundo Paba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Montevideo City F. C.'s Zuriko Rincon got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Adriano Alemparte came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Montevideo City F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Alemparte couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Pinchazo defense, Zuriko Rincon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reimundo Paba. The Pinchazo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reimundo Paba should have stopped the shot. In the 25th match minute, Montevideo City F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sauveur Hinojos to maneuver through the defense. Tercero Lizundia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dantae Gante, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Zuriko Rincon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Martinez in the 30th minute of play forced Montevideo City F. C.'s goalkeeper Tercero Lizundia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 minutes, Zuriko Rincon made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pinchazo's Reimundo Paba tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Zuriko Rincon sped through Pinchazo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reimundo Paba. Reimundo Paba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Burgoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Montevideo City F. C.'s Tercero Lizundia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Napier Zurica in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Montevideo City F. C.'s goalkeeper Tercero Lizundia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustin Martinez. In the 80th minute Napier Zurica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tercero Lizundia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 81st minute, but Tercero Lizundia got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Montevideo City F. Montevideo City F. C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
