Peñarol defense, Felix Roldan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiso Caval. The C.A. Peñarol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiso Caval should have stopped the shot. A collision led to C.A. Peñarol getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Baristo Figueras hit a great ball. C.A. Peñarol's Tiso Caval played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Santiago in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Bartoli Emperanza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A. Peñarol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defensor Sporting Club the free kick. Tiso Caval stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Roldan's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Defensor Sporting Club were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after C.A. Peñarol's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arif Ensar Rafiz took the corner. After taking down the ball on Defensor Sporting Club's corner Arif Ensar Rafiz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tiso Caval quite easily take care of the ball. In the 20thth minute of the game Felix Roldan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. Peñarol's Tiso Caval was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute, Bartoli Emperanza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Golaki Era. The goal made the score 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Roldan in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiso Caval saved C.A. Peñarol from getting behind. When Arif Ensar Rafiz came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Defensor Sporting Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arif Ensar Rafiz couldn't finish the play. If Desiderio Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tiso Caval showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Santiago, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Tiso Caval made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Roldan in the 32nd minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Felix Roldan notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of C.A. Peñarol's Tiso Caval. Tiso Caval was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 45 minutes, Felix Roldan made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. C.A. Peñarol's Tiso Caval tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute, Tomas Mecca fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tiso Caval, passed just outside the right post. Felix Roldan might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiso Caval. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Roldan ran back to his position shaking his head. 52 minutes into the game, Felix Roldan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Tiso Caval was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Roldan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-7 to the left of a surprised Tiso Caval 55 minutes into the match. In the 59thth minute of the game Felix Roldan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. Peñarol's Tiso Caval was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Roldan in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiso Caval prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute, Defensor Sporting Club's Arif Ensar Rafiz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-9. In the 73rd minute, Felix Roldan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tiso Caval. The goal made the score 1-11. Tiso Caval was a little too slow when Felix Roldan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-12. Tiso Caval stood somewhat misplaced when Felix Roldan came free in front of goal and shot 1-13 to the left of him in the 82 minute. In the 85thth minute of the game Felix Roldan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. Peñarol's Tiso Caval was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nesor Caldera kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 98th minute Ortzi Hondaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Golaki Era saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Defensor Sporting Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C.A. Peñarol.
