An unexpectedly hard shot by Zuriko Rincon in the 16th minute of play forced C.A. Peñarol's goalkeeper Tiso Caval to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Eugenio Burgoa made a precise shot to the right of Tiso Caval. C.A. Peñarol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The audience was convinced that Zuriko Rincon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiso Caval was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Martin Santalla kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Zuriko Rincon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. If Adriano Alemparte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 39th minute Adriano Alemparte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiso Caval saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Alemparte in the 43rd minute of play forced C.A. Peñarol's goalkeeper Tiso Caval to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Montevideo City F. C. fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Montevideo City F. C.'s Zuriko Rincon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

Quirze Leciana shot from long distance in the 62nd minute, but Tiso Caval was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Tiso Caval was a little too slow when Zuriko Rincon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-8. Adriano Alemparte scored 0-9 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiso Caval, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adriano Alemparte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Tiso Caval tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Sauveur Hinojos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montevideo City F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Sauveur Hinojos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiso Caval breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute, Zuriko Rincon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ireno Zuri came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Montevideo City F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ireno Zuri couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zuriko Rincon in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiso Caval prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugenio Burgoa struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tiso Caval didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montevideo City F. C.. In the 87th minute, Zuriko Rincon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiso Caval was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. Montevideo City F. C.'s Zuriko Rincon was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Zuriko Rincon might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiso Caval. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zuriko Rincon ran back to his position shaking his head. Montevideo City F. C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
