The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrik Lyse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Defensor Sporting Club's Golaki Era proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Defensor Sporting Club from getting a goal against them. Golaki Era took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Bixintxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Nabar Reza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santo Bixintxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Golaki Era tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Golaki Era made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nabar Reza in the 24th minute. Nabar Reza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Golaki Era came out and tried to block the shot, but Nabar Reza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 24th minute. Santo Bixintxo struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. In the 32nd match minute, PowerPerro Footbal Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Gonzalez to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the game, Ekhi Ontoria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PowerPerro Footbal Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defensor Sporting Club the free kick. Defensor Sporting Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Mecca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrik Lyse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nabar Reza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Golaki Era made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santo Bixintxo was the one to do the kick off. Santo Bixintxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Felix Roldan got free in front of the goal in the 83rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Henrik Lyse was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Irrintzi Verde took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Golaki Era. Golaki Era dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0.
