Manolo Hubidia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ortzi Hondaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Gerardo Fias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bencilow FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Fias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiso Caval breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eloy Matuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiso Caval. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eloy Matuta ran back to his position shaking his head. Eloy Matuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiso Caval showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Fias in the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Gerardo Fias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 28 minutes, Estevao Lagala mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. Peñarol and the Bencilow FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Peñarol's Gelacio Guadiana in action when he in the 39th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 42nd minute, Gerardo Fias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerardo Fias struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Tiso Caval didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bencilow FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ortzi Hondaro to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerardo Fias in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiso Caval prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Peñarol's zone, Eloy Matuta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiso Caval came out of the goal and Eloy Matuta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fidensio Cedrun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Tiso Caval tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiso Caval stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eloy Matuta's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Gerardo Fias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Tiso Caval made a huge save. Eloy Matuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 75 minutes into the match, C.A. Peñarol's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Fias came free, but Tiso Caval reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, C.A. Peñarol's Tiso Caval got control of the ball when Gerardo Fias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gerardo Fias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiso Caval having to make a save. Bencilow FC played a much better game than C.A. Peñarol and deserved their victory. The C.A. Peñarol players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
