After a defensive mix-up in Inter de Millán's zone, Asur Lozares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erruki Aumada came out of the goal and Asur Lozares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardino Vada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urki Benitua in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pitin Abella during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pitin Abella kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Machado Alderete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Bernardino Vada made a huge save. Bernardino Vada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urki Benitua, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardino Vada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernardino Vada was a little too slow when Urki Benitua got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 3-3. When Machado Alderete came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Inter de Millán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Machado Alderete couldn't finish the play. Bernardino Vada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urki Benitua in the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Urki Benitua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Vada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Machado Alderete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Vada having to interfere.
