In the 9th minute, Eugenio Blanco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hitz Mendiune was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Eugenio Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orland Barcenilla in the 22nd minute of the match. Juanito Proaño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Celso Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palma's Hitz Mendiune played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meriç Yalazan in the 26th minute of play. Fulgencio Estebano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hitz Mendiune having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Claus Hoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palma and the Treinta y tres FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Palma's Hitz Mendiune played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Blanco in the 36th minute of play. Orland Barcenilla might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celso Arce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orland Barcenilla ran back to his position shaking his head. Transito Sanz hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Juanito Proaño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Celso Arce made a huge save. Fulgencio Estebano scored 0-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hitz Mendiune, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orland Barcenilla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Treinta y tres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orland Barcenilla came free, but Celso Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Zuzuarregui kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Claus Hoa kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Meriç Yalazan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Treinta y tres FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
