But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Giraldez couldn't finish the play. Oro Tirado charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oro Tirado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fulgencio Estebano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nahia Roque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 minutes of play, Treinta y tres FC's Meriç Yalazan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Meriç Yalazan was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Oro Tirado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gervasio AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oro Tirado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gervasio AFC's goalkeeper Nahia Roque, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Fulgencio Estebano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
