Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nardo Cebollero started the match with the kick off. Primeiro Ruis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 5 played minutes Palma got a freekick which was hit by Orland Barcenilla. 10 minutes into the match, Palma's goal looked a bit too open when Nardo Cebollero came free, but Hitz Mendiune reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of YORUGUA F.C booed when Palma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bitxintxo Meneses didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orland Barcenilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Mincho Freixes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. YORUGUA F.C's Nardo Cebollero got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orland Barcenilla kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, YORUGUA F.C's goalkeeper Mincho Freixes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juanito Proaño. Juanito Proaño succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nardo Cebollero in the 37th minute of play forced Palma's goalkeeper Hitz Mendiune to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustin Raposo charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustin Raposo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Agustin Raposo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orland Barcenilla struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Mincho Freixes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palma. After 44 played minutes Orland Barcenilla rounded YORUGUA F.C's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orland Barcenilla to make the kick off. Mincho Freixes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juanito Proaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Nardo Cebollero managed to get in a good position for a shot. YORUGUA F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Nardo Cebollero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hitz Mendiune breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agustin Raposo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Agustin Raposo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mincho Freixes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juanito Proaño in the 60th minute of the match. After some careless play in the YORUGUA F.C defense, Juanito Proaño kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mincho Freixes. The YORUGUA F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mincho Freixes should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute Juanito Proaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mincho Freixes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
