The supporters of Club YALE booed when C.A.Canelones1993 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixto Daroca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xepe Balcells sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th match minute, C.A.Canelones1993 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lain Carne to maneuver through the defense. Lain Carne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Odilón Guardas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Club YALE's Aristides Locaio got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Miguel Guiluz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xepe Balcells in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Indalecio Tello saved C.A.Canelones1993 from getting behind. Ximenez Estremiana lost his temper 28 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of C.A.Canelones1993:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club YALE:s goal. Xepe Balcells sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Club YALE's Xepe Balcells in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Club YALE were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after C.A.Canelones1993's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xepe Balcells took the corner. Xepe Balcells made a great header on Club YALE's corner, it was just that C.A.Canelones1993's Indalecio Tello managed to reach the ball for a save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lain Carne was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Xepe Balcells made a precise shot to the right of Indalecio Tello. C.A.Canelones1993's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If Lain Carne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Xepe Balcells ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Indalecio Tello was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. C.A.Canelones1993's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club YALE the free kick. After a rather tough play, C.A.Canelones1993's Resto Marquez got a free kick in the 81st minute. After some careless play in the C.A.Canelones1993 defense, Xepe Balcells kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Indalecio Tello. The C.A.Canelones1993 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Indalecio Tello should have stopped the shot. Odilón Guardas made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Bazil Vergas sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.Canelones1993's zone, Xepe Balcells stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Indalecio Tello came out of the goal and Xepe Balcells tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club YALE's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
