The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guipuzkoa Velamines showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SAS's zone, Cristian Leizaur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guipuzkoa Velamines came out of the goal and Cristian Leizaur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, SAS's Guipuzkoa Velamines got control of the ball when Agustín Álvarez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guipuzkoa Velamines made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Álvarez in the 34th minute. Agustín Álvarez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guipuzkoa Velamines read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to SAS getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Adolfo Larrave hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oskitz Tendiero to strike the kick off in the second half. SAS's Oskitz Tendiero got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alkestis Papadopulos kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Gu Sha Zhen hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Patricio Jimeno got a throw-in 69 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Lluis Roig. In the 71st minute, Gu Sha Zhen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montevideo City Torque fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The corner led to SAS's Santio Tarres getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 78 minutes, Walme Trillanes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAS and the Montevideo City Torque players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, SAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walme Trillanes to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the game, Agustín Álvarez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Guipuzkoa Velamines was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A throw-in in the 95th minute of the game was made by Patricio Jimeno with Lluis Roig as target, who quickly passed the ball forward.
