The audience was convinced that Robustiano Peruanton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jackson Jack was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. With a little luck, Oylimpiamos Ψ's Koen Rijmenams got control of the ball when Ejvind Frøding tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pichincha Sporting Club's zone, Bartolo Bachicabo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jackson Jack came out of the goal and Bartolo Bachicabo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bartolo Bachicabo charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bartolo Bachicabo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bartolo Bachicabo hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
