Guns Reds's Ragnar Piega quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Danilo Mendonça, made in the 32nd minute of the game. Celso Trasloseros did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Germán Burgos 35 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Kučera in the 41st minute of play forced Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Jeremy Avellana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gasteiz Latorre in the 42nd minute of play forced Guns Reds's goalkeeper Germán Burgos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Rodo's Anthon Öberg made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Germán Burgos was left in no man's land by his defense there! 77 minutes into the game, Salvino Masses cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Germán Burgos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Club Dep. Soc.
