The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eutropio Alcubilla hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Freddi Clavijo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslav Kučera in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Xefe Balza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddi Clavijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Miroslav Kučera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Freddi Clavijo came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Guns Reds's Miroslav Kučera. But to his dismay, Miroslav Kučera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 30th match minute, Guns Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isadore Lombas to maneuver through the defense. Germán Burgos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Guzman in the 31st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Fear Of The Dark's Pierres Payno got a free kick in the 35th minute. Freddi Clavijo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Kučera in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Kučera in the 41st minute of play forced Fear Of The Dark's goalkeeper Freddi Clavijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Guns Reds were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miroslav Kučera to strike the kick off in the second half. If Miroslav Kučera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Freddi Clavijo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miroslav Kučera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 56 in the game by Miroslav Kučera from a close distance when the talented Freddi Clavijo managed to make a qualified save. Fear Of The Dark's players were relieved. When Miroslav Kučera came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Guns Reds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miroslav Kučera couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute Miroslav Kučera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddi Clavijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute Guns Reds were awarded a corner. Pim Schuurman went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Guns Reds's Pim Schuurman to fire away a dangerous shot which Freddi Clavijo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Joeri Wijkstra hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Afonso Guzman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Germán Burgos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kirun Lisandri, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fear Of The Dark! The goalkeeper, Freddi Clavijo, was totally fooled by Guns Reds's Eutropio Alcubilla, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Germán Burgos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirun Lisandri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Guns Reds getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Isadore Lombas hit a great ball. Guns Reds's Germán Burgos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Hinz in the 95th minute of play. Freddi Clavijo was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Miroslav Kučera capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Miroslav Kučera really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Fear Of The Dark lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
