When Javier Dominix came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Pichincha Sporting Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Dominix couldn't finish the play. Koen Rijmenams showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Tresgallo in the 14th minute of the match. Oylimpiamos Ψ's Koen Rijmenams played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ejvind Frøding in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Oylimpiamos Ψ's goalkeeper Koen Rijmenams had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Americo Tresgallo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selatse Cantillo in the 28th minute of play forced Pichincha Sporting Club's goalkeeper Jackson Jack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Oylimpiamos Ψ were awarded a corner. Rik Quexada went to the cornerflag to take it. Jackson Jack didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robustiano Peruanton went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Javier Dominix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Koen Rijmenams read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. If Ejvind Frøding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Pichincha Sporting Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Oylimpiamos Ψ were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Americo Tresgallo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oylimpiamos Ψ's Koen Rijmenams played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ejvind Frøding in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute Selatse Cantillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jackson Jack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jackson Jack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Peruanton, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerico Yepes during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Americo Tresgallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Koen Rijmenams read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Pichincha Sporting Club's goalkeeper Jackson Jack had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fortun Corrillos. Oylimpiamos Ψ played a much better game than Pichincha Sporting Club and deserved their victory. The Pichincha Sporting Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
