Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marcinho de Queirós took the kick off in the first half of the match. Severino Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomé Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Tamanca EC booed when Liberdade FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Peixoto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gino Azevedo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Liberdade FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Torres came free, but Severino Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gino Azevedo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gino Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilson Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilson Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tamanca EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Liberdade FC. Rubens Zanette stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gláuber Vander. 1-1. Marcinho de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 played minutes Liberdade FC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Madureira. Severino Peixoto didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 31st minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. In the 35th minute, Valdir Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tomé Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino Azevedo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Severino Peixoto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marcinho de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gláuber Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomé Torres was the one to do the kick off. If Gino Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Schmidt in the 62nd minute of play. Tomé Torres might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severino Peixoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomé Torres ran back to his position shaking his head. During the 68th minute of the match Wilson Antunes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Wilson Antunes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Tamanca EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Liberdade FC:s goal. Narciso Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Severino Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gino Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Severino Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tamanca EC. After a defensive mix-up in Liberdade FC's zone, Gino Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Peixoto came out of the goal and Gino Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th match minute, Liberdade FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Madureira to maneuver through the defense. Severino Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Azevedo in the 83rd minute of the match. Tamanca EC's Gláuber Vander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Tamanca EC from getting a goal against them. When Samuca Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Liberdade FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuca Dantas couldn't finish the play. Severino Peixoto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gino Azevedo went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. After having played for 98 minutes, Gino Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tamanca EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Tamanca EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
