Itahy's Enrique Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Meirelles in the 6th minute of play. ARGENTINO JNR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erik Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Dedé Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme de Amorim in the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Itahy booed when ARGENTINO JNR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredão da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Meirelles might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Fantini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danilo Meirelles ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as ARGENTINO JNR's Matías Prata slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enrique Fantini. That made the score 1-2 after 94 minutes of play.
