The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Suastic SK's zone, Flávio dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Cabral came out of the goal and Flávio dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durval Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nathan Vanek in the 12th minute. Suastic SK's Durval Cabral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Suastic SK from getting a goal against them. Leonel de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Andrade in the 15th minute of play. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Durval Cabral, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Durval Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Toscano in the 18th minute of the match. Leonel de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Pedro Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Suastic SK's goalkeeper Durval Cabral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arí Maranhense charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arí Maranhense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Suastic SK got a freekick which was hit by Arí Maranhense. Célio Toscano struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Durval Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zero3Dois United F.C.. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dedê de Lima made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Zero3Dois United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dedê de Lima came free, but Leonel de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Suastic SK booed when Zero3Dois United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luiz Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute of the match Celso Massa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonel de Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Durval Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Nathan Vanek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute, Zé Paulo Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Célio Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Pedro Penha got free with Leonel de Amaral in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Durval Cabral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Célio Toscano went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Nathan Vanek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Suastic SK's Durval Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Toscano in the 80th minute of play. Nathan Vanek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Durval Cabral having to make a save. In the 85th minute, Flávio dos Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Durval Cabral was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Nathan Vanek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Zero3Dois United F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
