Earle Feutrill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mazinho Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Earle Feutrill successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Juvenal Novaes struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Earle Feutrill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soca Fofo FC. Zé Figueiredo in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Earle Feutrill, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 24 minutes, Egídio Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carajuru and the Soca Fofo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Egídio Sá hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The supporters of Soca Fofo FC booed when Carajuru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo de Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th match minute, Carajuru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio Sá to maneuver through the defense. Juvenal Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Earle Feutrill having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Figueiredo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Novaes in the 53rd minute of play forced Carajuru's goalkeeper Earle Feutrill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Earle Feutrill came out of the goal and Juvenal Novaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Figueiredo in the 88th minute of play forced Carajuru's goalkeeper Earle Feutrill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Arlindo Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Soca Fofo FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
