The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Carajuru's Egídio Sá slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sílvio Luís Torres. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. 9 minutes into the match, Cumplice's goalkeeper Sílvio Luís Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Pinho. In the 11th minute, Carajuru's Jonas Meirelles ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sílvio Luís Torres. Sílvio Luís Torres yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Thanks to some nice moves Norberto Pinho could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Sílvio Luís Torres however easily saved by the left post. 19 minutes in the game, Jonas Meirelles fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sílvio Luís Torres having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Cumplice got a freekick which was hit by Chico Leite. Tiago Gabriel Peres, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 21 played minutes Cumplice got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Simões. 23 minutes into the match, Ramón Varela notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Cumplice's Sílvio Luís Torres. Sílvio Luís Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Carajuru booed when Cumplice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cumplice's Sílvio Luís Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Meirelles in the 28th minute of play. Cumplice's Sílvio Luís Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Meirelles in the 44th minute of play. Lúcio Simões hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 55th minute Egídio Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Pinho in the 57th minute of play forced Cumplice's goalkeeper Sílvio Luís Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Egídio Sá left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carajuru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 63rd minute Norberto Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Jonas Meirelles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sílvio Luís Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 75th match minute, Carajuru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio Sá to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the game, Norberto Pinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Sílvio Luís Torres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 88 played minutes Cumplice got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Simões. 89 minutes into the match, Cumplice's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Pinho came free, but Sílvio Luís Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Jonas Meirelles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carajuru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Carajuru's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
