Geovanni de Salles started the match with the kick off. Tião de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Paraibano having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Dieguinho Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Passos, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Indianópolense's Leonardo Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Ceresso in the 12th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Indianópolense's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Ceresso came free, but Leonardo Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Samuca Brasil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tijucucu EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Indianópolense the free kick. The supporters of Indianópolense booed when Tijucucu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Agnaldo Neiva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonardo Paraibano. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. A hard shot 35 in the game by Tião de Almeida from a close distance when the talented Leonardo Paraibano managed to make a qualified save. Indianópolense's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Carlos Fernando Ceresso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Paraibano was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. If Agnaldo Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Indianópolense's Leonardo Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Ceresso in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Carlos Fernando Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tijucucu EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Fernando Ceresso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Fernando Ceresso to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Agnaldo Neiva notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Indianópolense's Leonardo Paraibano. Leonardo Paraibano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 56 minutes into the game, Tiago Tavares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Indianópolense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tijucucu EC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Indianópolense's Tiago Tavares got a free kick in the 56th minute. When Agnaldo Neiva, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 66 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Leonardo Paraibano was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Geovanni de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Tião de Almeida struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Leonardo Paraibano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tijucucu EC. 74 minutes into the match, Tijucucu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanni de Salles came free, but Dalmo Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Dias's late challenge caught a Tijucucu EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Dias helped the player get up and apologised. Tiago Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Tião de Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Paraibano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Leonardo Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The referee gave Tijucucu EC a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emanuel Passos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Indianópolense's Leonardo Paraibano. 3-0. After a rather tough play, Tijucucu EC's Norberto de Mendonça got a free kick in the 90th minute. When the referee ended the match the Tijucucu EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
