After 3 minutes, Allan Tinoco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Retencao SC and the A.D.Confiança players grew even worse after the yellow card. Allan Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Retencao SC's Dráusio Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Rodrigues in the 10th minute of play. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.D.Confiança's goalkeeper Abelardo Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Doriva Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Carneiro having to interfere. Manuel do Valle's late challenge caught a Retencao SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel do Valle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Manuel do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Retencao SC's Allan Tinoco in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, A.D.Confiança's Hélio Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dráusio Gerber narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 36 minutes of play, Retencao SC's Kauã Dantas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abelardo Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Retencao SC's Doriva Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kauã Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doriva Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Abelardo Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Kauã Dantas made a precise shot to the right of Abelardo Carneiro. A.D.Confiança's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doriva Tróia to make the kick off. Doriva Tróia charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Doriva Tróia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56thth minute of the game Kauã Dantas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.D.Confiança's Abelardo Carneiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Doriva Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doriva Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Carneiro having to interfere. Dráusio Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute, Murillo Loyola sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and A.D.Confiança's Abelardo Carneiro didn't even have to move. Abelardo Carneiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kauã Dantas went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute, Hélio Vale fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dráusio Gerber, passed just outside the right post. In the 87th minute Kauã Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kauã Dantas in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Carneiro saved A.D.Confiança from getting behind. Retencao SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
