The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Simão Meira struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Pancracio Herrera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iraja. Sílvio Luís Maranhense made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Emílio Aguiar sent off a good shot on target. Miliardus Futebol Clube's Pancracio Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Maciel in the 23rd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Henrique Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pancracio Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pancracio Herrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Maciel in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Rony Maciel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pancracio Herrera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pancracio Herrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Maciel in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Rony Maciel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pancracio Herrera. Miliardus Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rony Maciel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.

In the 56th minute Emílio Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Silvinho Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miliardus Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvinho Trigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luís Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Vargas in the 65th minute of play forced Miliardus Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Pancracio Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pancracio Herrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Vargas in the 71st minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Henrique Vargas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pancracio Herrera. The goal made the score 0-4. Sílvio Luís Maranhense came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Miliardus Futebol Clube's Emílio Aguiar. But to his dismay, Emílio Aguiar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After 87 minutes, Antônio de Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Miliardus Futebol Clube and the Iraja players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pancracio Herrera had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Luciano Viana's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Emílio Aguiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sílvio Luís Maranhense having to make a save. The supporters of Miliardus Futebol Clube booed when Iraja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Iraja's Pancracio Herrera threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henrique Vargas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pancracio Herrera made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Rony Maciel sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Iraja's Chicão de Azevedo got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Iraja had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
