Feliciano Louis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhemar Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Oliveira during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Tabajara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Tabajara's Feliciano Louis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Tabajara from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute, Zé Augusto Vasconcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Jardel Prestes could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Feliciano Louis however easily saved by the left post. In the 29th minute, José Augusto de Queiroz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Feliciano Louis. The goal made the score 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, Tabajara's goalkeeper Feliciano Louis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jardel Prestes. Feliciano Louis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jardel Prestes in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute José Augusto de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Louis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Palmares - PE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Jardel Prestes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Feliciano Louis was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Feliciano Louis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adhemar Cabral's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After some careless play in the Tabajara defense, José Augusto de Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Feliciano Louis. The Tabajara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Feliciano Louis should have stopped the shot. If Hernan Abeita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tabajara's Feliciano Louis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Prestes in the 93rd minute of play. Tabajara's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
