In the 6th minute Edgard Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genílson Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dudu Meireles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severino Pombal in the 25th minute. Nico Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Meireles having to interfere. With a little luck, Pratania FC's Dudu Meireles got control of the ball when Severino Pombal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match Juan Baptista shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Genílson Recife showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Genílson Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Pinheiro in the 35th minute of the match. If Edgard Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Nico Arce reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dudu Meireles. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 48th minute Sebastião Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genílson Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastião Paranaense made a kick off. Aparaju SC's Genílson Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Paranaense in the 52nd minute of play. Dudu Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Arce in the 54th minute of play. Aparaju SC's Genílson Recife proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Aparaju SC from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute, Severino Pombal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aparaju SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Dudu Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nico Arce might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dudu Meireles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nico Arce ran back to his position shaking his head. Severino Pombal scored 4-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dudu Meireles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Severino Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Meireles having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Nico Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aparaju SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nico Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dudu Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aloísio Vander charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aloísio Vander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pratania FC's Aloísio Vander got a free kick in the 82nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Pombal in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dudu Meireles saved Pratania FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Pratania FC's Roberto Nogueira got a free kick in the 84th minute. Roberto Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the game's 86th minute Aparaju SC's Victor Barreto took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Dudu Meireles and thus the score was 5-0. Flávio Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The long shot by Diogo Messias in the 92nd minute really tested Genílson Recife's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Flávio Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aparaju SC's protests and gave Flávio Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. Sebastião Paranaense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Genílson Recife read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Nico Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Aparaju SC were the better team. Aparaju SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
