Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) SPFC's Romário Teles started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Romário Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Cardoso having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Romário Teles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SPFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tapada the free kick. In the 8th minute, Romário Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tapada getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tiaguinho Coutinho hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Romário Teles took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Manoel Cardoso to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Tiaguinho Coutinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Glauco Valle was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 44th minute Róbson Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Róbson Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot.
