In the 24thth minute of the game Orlando Oliveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marema's Anísio Leal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Orlando Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Leal having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Wellington Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manhuassu's supporters rose to their feet, but Wellington Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anísio Leal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wellington Romero in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anísio Leal saved Marema from getting behind. Orlando Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Anísio Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Anísio Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Oliveira in the 62nd minute of the match. Anísio Leal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jeremias Gomes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 71 minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Manhuassu's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Toscano came free, but Wilian Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anísio Leal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Manhuassu getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Augusto Neto hit a great ball. Wilian Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Marema's zone, Jeremias Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anísio Leal came out of the goal and Jeremias Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Manhuassu could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Marema throughout the match.
