Wellington Pereira's late challenge caught a Cutiu SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wellington Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cutiu SC booed when Slayers F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wellington Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vinícius Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Antunes having to interfere. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cutiu SC! Rogério Antunes went to the wrong direction when Glauco Britto was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Cícero Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Nestor Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cícero Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diguinho Pombal having to interfere. Nestor Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Rezende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cícero Abraão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diguinho Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes Slayers F.C got a freekick which was hit by Tales Senna. After 53 played minutes, Cutiu SC's Lenílson Peixoto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diguinho Pombal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cutiu SC reached it. After 58 played minutes Cutiu SC got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Sena. In the 60th match minute, Slayers F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Salles to maneuver through the defense. The referee gave Cutiu SC a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lenílson Peixoto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Slayers F.C's Diguinho Pombal. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cícero Abraão in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diguinho Pombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Nestor Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cutiu SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Rezende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diguinho Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diguinho Pombal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diguinho Pombal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 89th minute, Nestor Rezende made a precise shot to the right of Diguinho Pombal. Slayers F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After 92 minutes, Gabriel Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cutiu SC and the Slayers F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Cutiu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Moreira to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cutiu SC fully deserved thier win.
