A very good chance for a goal. 40 minutes into the match, Gabriel Moreira notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Barradas FC's César Mattos. César Mattos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto da Rocha to make the kick off. César Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Abraão in the 55th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Moreira couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldão Saldanha got free with César Mattos in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cutiu SC's Geovanni Negri shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by César Mattos but with some difficulty. The audience was convinced that Cícero Abraão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but César Mattos was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cícero Abraão got free with César Mattos in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
