Ademir Paiva's late challenge caught a ATL Betaort's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademir Paiva helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Regencia's Ademir Paiva got a free kick in the 9th minute. Sidney Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Elder Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ATL Betaort's Elder Alagoano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save ATL Betaort from getting a goal against them. Didi Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vito Rezende struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Elder Alagoano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Regencia. Elder Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The supporters of Regencia booed when ATL Betaort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telmo Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elder Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo de Salles in the 27th minute of play. Regencia's Washington Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Mendonça in the 28th minute of play. Didi Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elder Alagoano made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Vito Rezende sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute, Vito Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the game, ATL Betaort's Didi Mendonça nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Washington Falcão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Elder Alagoano was a little too slow when Vito Rezende got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sidney Chaves made a kick off. Elder Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Rezende in the 51st minute of the match. Vito Rezende took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elder Alagoano. Elder Alagoano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. 62 minutes into the match, ATL Betaort's goal looked a bit too open when Ademir Paiva came free, but Elder Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elder Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 68 minutes into the match, ATL Betaort's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Rezende came free, but Elder Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elder Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Regencia booed when ATL Betaort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vito Rezende scored 6-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elder Alagoano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Didi Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Didi Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Vito Rezende had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elder Alagoano. ATL Betaort's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vito Rezende was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. Elder Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Rezende in the 88th minute of the match. After 89 minutes of play, Regencia's Vito Rezende made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elder Alagoano was left in no man's land by his defense there! 95 minutes into the game, Vito Rezende cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-1. Elder Alagoano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Regencia fans cheered their team off the field, for while ATL Betaort had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
