Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernani Teixeira started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the game, Nilmar Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jonas Barral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Donato Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Durande got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Carneiro. After 18 played minutes Durande got a freekick which was hit by Nilmar Matos. Renan Moraes in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vicente Quadros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jonas Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Saraiva in the 22nd minute of the match. Vicente Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Moreno in the 26th minute of play. Jonas Barral came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Durande's Ernani Teixeira. But to his dismay, Ernani Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Jonas Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Durande booed when Ibatiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Francisco Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Ernani Teixeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas Barral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. When Durande's Gernando Saraiva in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ibatiba's goalie prevented a goal. Donato Moreno received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vicente Quadros came out and tried to block the shot, but Donato Moreno slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Renan Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Vicente Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes, Ibatiba's Fernando Mello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vicente Quadros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ibatiba reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernani Teixeira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonas Barral. That made the score 1-5 in the 62 minute of play. Jonas Barral came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Durande's Nilmar Matos. But to his dismay, Nilmar Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. With his leg Jonas Barral managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Durande's Nilmar Matos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renan Moraes in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Quadros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 79 minutes, Renan Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibatiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renan Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donato Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the game, Durande's Gernando Saraiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas Barral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. Ibatiba's Renan Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st match minute, Durande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilmar Matos to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibatiba's goalkeeper Jonas Barral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nilmar Matos got free with Jonas Barral in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, Ernani Teixeira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonas Barral. The goal made the score 1-8.
