Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Reinaldo Cordeiro got the match started through his kick off. Chulapasso's Isaltino Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaltino Santana in the 7th minute of play forced Correventos RJ's goalkeeper Iordache Cartiș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Luiz da Mata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chulapasso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Correventos RJ the free kick. If Isaltino Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Correventos RJ's Reinaldo Cordeiro pulled a muscle in his back after 22 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Correventos RJ made a substitution. Davi Pombal replaced Reinaldo Cordeiro. Luís Eduardo de Queiroz hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Iordache Cartiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaltino Santana in the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, Chulapasso's Narciso Simões got control of the ball when Davi Pombal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 minutes of play, Chulapasso's Isaltino Santana made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iordache Cartiș was left in no man's land by his defense there!
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaltino Santana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, Correventos RJ's Davi Pombal made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Narciso Simões was left in no man's land by his defense there! Narciso Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davi Pombal's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Luís Eduardo de Queiroz hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Isaltino Santana's late challenge caught a Correventos RJ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaltino Santana helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Correventos RJ booed when Chulapasso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erivaldo Mesquita in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juninho Santana's late challenge caught a Correventos RJ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juninho Santana helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chulapasso's Juninho Santana got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Mesquita in the 81st minute of play forced Chulapasso's goalkeeper Narciso Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Percy Porto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narciso Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Erivaldo Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Correventos RJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Erivaldo Mesquita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
