Spectators: 7271 (Terracing: 5455, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 144) Inhahy AD's Tostão Peres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tibúrcio Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tibúrcio Simões might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antônio Cordeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tibúrcio Simões ran back to his position shaking his head. After 11 minutes, Tibúrcio Simões made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Inhahy AD's Antônio Cordeiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Antônio Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibúrcio Simões in the 14th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Inhahy AD got a freekick which was hit by Enio Lopes. If Tibúrcio Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tibúrcio Simões in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antônio Cordeiro saved Inhahy AD from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Inhahy AD's zone, Tibúrcio Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Cordeiro came out of the goal and Tibúrcio Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Tibúrcio Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. União Capixaba F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tibúrcio Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th match minute, União Capixaba F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Leão to maneuver through the defense. Marco Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Antônio Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tibúrcio Simões was the one to do the kick off. União Capixaba F.C.'s Dagoberto Borges managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Enio Lopes in the 54 minute of the game. When Tibúrcio Simões came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the União Capixaba F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tibúrcio Simões couldn't finish the play. After 59th play minutes Tibúrcio Simões shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Antônio Cordeiro and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Inhahy AD's zone, Tibúrcio Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Cordeiro came out of the goal and Tibúrcio Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. União Capixaba F.C. made a substitution. Murillo Cordeiro replaced Tibúrcio Simões. After 70 played minutes Inhahy AD got a freekick which was hit by Jano Velasco. In the 72nd minute, Jano Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute of the match Marco Mazza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antônio Cordeiro skillfully saved the ball. Marco Mazza scored 4-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antônio Cordeiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Murillo Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, Inhahy AD's goal looked a bit too open when Murillo Cordeiro came free, but Antônio Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, União Capixaba F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demiralp Türkmen to maneuver through the defense. Demiralp Türkmen kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Murillo Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antônio Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 minutes of play, União Capixaba F.C.'s Murillo Cordeiro made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antônio Cordeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. União Capixaba F.C. had played much better football throughout.
