In the 21st minute Alessandro Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Florinea EC's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Viana came free, but Dráuzio Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lino Viana got free in front of the goal in the 25th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Dráuzio Teles was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some careless play in the Florinea EC defense, Lino Viana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráuzio Teles. The Florinea EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráuzio Teles should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rubinho Alcântara got free with Paulo Renato Dionísio in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the match, Torneiras F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Silas Bueno came free, but Paulo Renato Dionísio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
