After 13 played minutes Galinhas got a freekick which was hit by Elói Paes. João Adolfo Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleandro Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aleandro Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Meireles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but João Adolfo Donato made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Aleandro Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot. CNEGAO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aleandro Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Adolfo Donato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Tiago Leal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardinho Pombal was relentless in the 37th minute of the game.
