But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chiquinho Veiga couldn't finish the play. Elivélton Macedo charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elivélton Macedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 minutes, Andrézinho Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gamelera AD and the Saids FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Gamelera AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Nicolas Medeiros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jairo Prestes. The goal made the score 1-4. After 66 minutes, Adhemar de Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gamelera AD and the Saids FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, Nicolas Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Saids FC's Jairo Prestes got control of the ball when Daniel de Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicolas Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Prestes having to interfere. Jairo Prestes came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Gamelera AD's Nicolas Medeiros. But to his dismay, Nicolas Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. With 92 minutes on the clock, Lenílson Meira commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When the final whistle sounded Gamelera AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Saids FC.
