A collision led to Licarco Ferro EC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Douglas Carneiro hit a great ball. Jairo Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseu Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Elivélton Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Eliseu Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jairo Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Saids FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eliseu Monteiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 18th match minute, Licarco Ferro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício de Souza to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Licarco Ferro EC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Maia came free, but Hermínio do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baltazar Cosme hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osmar Ferreira in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermínio do Vale saved Licarco Ferro EC from getting behind. Douglas Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Eliseu Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Saids FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elivélton Macedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eliseu Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jairo Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu Monteiro in the 57th minute of the match. When Baltazar Cosme was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. In the 59th minute, Baltazar Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermínio do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Ferreira in the 65th minute of play. Jairo Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eliseu Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Licarco Ferro EC's attentive Clemente Neto managed to snatch the ball when Juarês Vieira made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. After 80 played minutes Saids FC got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Macedo. Eliseu Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osmar Ferreira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 91st minute, Douglas Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 96 minutes, Osmar Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saids FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osmar Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chants of Saids FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Licarco Ferro EC had held the ball for most of the match.
