Daniel de Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermínio do Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel de Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Licarco Ferro EC's Hermínio do Vale got control of the ball when Daniel de Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gamelera AD's Andrézinho Medeiros got a free kick in the 5th minute. Hermínio do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Medeiros in the 11th minute of play. Eduardo Leal charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eduardo Leal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eduardo Leal hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Eliseu Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cícero Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Nicolas Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gamelera AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermínio do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinho Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Eliseu Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Koehler having to interfere. Douglas Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After 48 played minutes, Gamelera AD's Adhemar de Andrade shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hermínio do Vale came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gamelera AD reached it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Nicolas Medeiros made the kick off in the second half. Nicolas Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermínio do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Medeiros in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Douglas Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adhemar de Andrade took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hermínio do Vale. Licarco Ferro EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hermínio do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Medeiros in the 61st minute of the match. Andrézinho Medeiros scored 1-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hermínio do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hermínio do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Medeiros in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Lenílson Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Licarco Ferro EC's Eliseu Monteiro in action when he in the 74th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After a defensive mix-up in Licarco Ferro EC's zone, Daniel de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermínio do Vale came out of the goal and Daniel de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the game, Gamelera AD's Andrézinho Medeiros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hermínio do Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Hermínio do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Medeiros in the 90th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Licarco Ferro EC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel de Alcântara came free, but Hermínio do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Licarco Ferro EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
