Spectators: 6652 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 0) Charles Borges started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Caloji SS! Cícero Martins went to the wrong direction when Fernandinho Paraíba was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 9 played minutes Caloji SS got a freekick which was hit by Nilton Moraes. After 10 minutes, Luís Cardozo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Caloji SS's Cícero Martins tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Luiz Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinícius de Andrade in the 13th minute of the match. Charles Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cícero Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Caloji SS's Cícero Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Cardozo in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Vinícius de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caloji SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinícius de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luiz Prata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Charles Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Martins having to interfere. A collision led to Caloji SS getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Luís Fernando Hames hit a great ball. Vinícius de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luiz Prata having to interfere. A collision led to AC Star Soccer getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Horácio Alcântara hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Caloji SS's Vinícius de Andrade slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Luiz Prata. That made the score 1-1 after 44 minutes of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vinícius de Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Zé Pedro Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinícius de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luiz Prata having to interfere. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Caloji SS. Sydney Pirani stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pedro Luiz Prata. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in AC Star Soccer's zone, Vinícius de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luiz Prata came out of the goal and Vinícius de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Luís Cardozo came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the AC Star Soccer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Cardozo couldn't finish the play. Zé Pedro Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vinícius de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luiz Prata having to interfere. Caloji SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Leme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Luís Cardozo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cícero Martins was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Vinícius de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caloji SS's Vinícius de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Luiz Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Leme in the 92nd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in AC Star Soccer fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Caloji SS. Sydney Pirani stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pedro Luiz Prata. 3-2. AC Star Soccer's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
