Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Márton Kálmán started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Carneiro in the 7th minute of play forced Nióbio EC's goalkeeper Ünsal Alyakut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Travassos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. With a left leg Felipe Matorin saved Maconha from getting behind. 31 minutes into the match, Márton Kálmán had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felipe Matorin. Maconha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Márton Kálmán was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Márton Kálmán in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Matorin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto Travassos was the one to do the kick off. Ünsal Alyakut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Favoretto in the 54th minute of play. Márton Kálmán who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Felipe Matorin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Nióbio EC's zone, Jacinto Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ünsal Alyakut came out of the goal and Jacinto Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maconha's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Favoretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ünsal Alyakut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Júlio Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gil Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
