Felipe Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, one of Maconha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Manguairinha SS. Arnaldo Correia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Felipe Matorin. 0-1. If Otávio Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacinto Travassos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo Albuquerque read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Manguairinha SS's goalkeeper Erivaldo Albuquerque had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Júlio Ortiz. Felipe Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otávio Quaresma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Matorin having to interfere. Wágner das Neves's late challenge caught a Maconha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wágner das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, one of Manguairinha SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Manguairinha SS.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo Cabral made a kick off. Jacinto Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Erivaldo Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacinto Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gil Favoretto charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gil Favoretto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Manguairinha SS's Erivaldo Albuquerque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Travassos in the 69th minute of play. Felipe Matorin made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Otávio Quaresma sent off a good shot on target. Rodrigo Cabral struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. After 76 played minutes Manguairinha SS got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Quaresma. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Ortiz in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erivaldo Albuquerque saved Manguairinha SS from getting behind. 84 minutes in the game, Jacinto Travassos dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Cristian Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Felipe Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
