Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Renato Cruz kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes Galaxy Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Cavalcante. Sandrinho Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Mané Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Haroldo Cunha during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Haroldo Cunha hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Guatuba FC's goalkeeper Wanderson Donato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mané Proença. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mané Proença got free with Wanderson Donato in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinei Lucas during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Galaxy Soccer booed when Guatuba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Wanderson Donato managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Galaxy Soccer's Mané Proença fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Chiquinho Corrêa charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chiquinho Corrêa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wanderson Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Freire in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Galaxy Soccer's Chiquinho Corrêa got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juvenal Freire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Renatinho Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Cruz in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Mané Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galaxy Soccer's supporters rose to their feet, but Mané Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wanderson Donato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Juvenal Freire had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wanderson Donato. Guatuba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juvenal Freire was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 73rd minute, Erasmo Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mané Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chiquinho Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wanderson Donato having to interfere. Dinei Lucas was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Guatuba FC's Dinei Lucas got a free kick in the 81st minute. Wanderson Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Proença in the 82nd minute of the match. Wanderson Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Proença in the 87th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Galaxy Soccer's goalkeeper Renatinho Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedê Gaspar. After some careless play in the Guatuba FC defense, Mané Proença kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wanderson Donato. The Guatuba FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wanderson Donato should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Galaxy Soccer fully deserved thier win.
