José Carlos de Carvalho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Carioca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The long shot by Luiz Paulo Ceresso in the 53rd minute really tested Mauro Botelho's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Emílio Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ryleon FC's protests and gave Emílio Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Emílio Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ryleon FC's goalkeeper Mauro Botelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ryleon FC's Sílvio Luiz Guimarães in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauro Botelho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mauro Botelho went to the wrong direction when Luiz Paulo Ceresso was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Lúcio Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araguary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lúcio Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ryleon FC booed when Araguary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Sílvio Luiz Guimarães put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of José Carlos de Carvalho. For all the effort they put into the match, the Araguary players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ryleon FC.
