Ancora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz do Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vila Jaraguá FC's Reynaldo Zilles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Massa in the 10th minute of play. Cássio Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Narciso de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso de Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cássio Dias's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Víktor Sabóia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Zilles made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Massa during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ancora's Jonathan Massa got a free kick in the 19th minute. Narciso de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 23 minutes, Cássio Dias made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ancora's Narciso de Lara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Gino da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Flávio Nunes in the 28th minute really tested Reynaldo Zilles's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Marinho in the 31st minute of play forced Vila Jaraguá FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Zilles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Tomé de Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Narciso de Lara was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cássio Dias in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narciso de Lara saved Ancora from getting behind. Narciso de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45thth minute of the game Tomé de Sena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ancora's Narciso de Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flávio Marinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Cássio Dias made a precise shot to the right of Narciso de Lara. Ancora's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 57 minutes into the match, Ancora's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé de Sena came free, but Narciso de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ancora's zone, Tomé de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso de Lara came out of the goal and Tomé de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ancora's Narciso de Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Ancora from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Ancora's Narciso de Lara got control of the ball when Cássio Dias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomé de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Narciso de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Zilles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flávio Marinho in the 77th minute of the match. 0-4 became the score in the 79th minute when Tomé de Sena elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Vila Jaraguá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Leal came free, but Reynaldo Zilles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynaldo Zilles came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Ancora's Flávio Marinho. But to his dismay, Flávio Marinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Reynaldo Zilles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Vila Jaraguá FC's Reynaldo Zilles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Zonta in the 95th minute of play. The Vila Jaraguá FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vila Jaraguá FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
