Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ventura EC's Gilberto Dracena started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Júlio Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Túlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Guimarães got free with Túlio Porto in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 7 minutes into the match, Gilberto Dracena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdomiro Faustino. Taboquinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilberto Dracena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Valdomiro Faustino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Túlio Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ventura EC's Zé Pedro Nascimento got a free kick in the 82nd minute. When Cristiano Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taboquinho's protests and gave Cristiano Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead.
