After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GRAVATAI RS! Emílio Custódio had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Hortêncio Guimarães's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 57th minute, Hortêncio Guimarães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emílio Custódio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 65 played minutes Serginho Seco rounded GRAVATAI RS's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. When Lino Bertassi fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roma Alviverde's protests and gave Lino Bertassi a yellow card for diving instead. Lino Bertassi hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Hélder de Medeiros's late challenge caught a GRAVATAI RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalmo Bueno charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalmo Bueno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dalmo Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Dedê Sousa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Roma Alviverde's Agenor Saraiva didn't even have to move. 84 minutes into the match, Alfredinho Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emílio Custódio. GRAVATAI RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredinho Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Alfredinho Nascimento did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-4 to the left of a surprised Emílio Custódio 94 minutes into the match. Alfredinho Nascimento in the 100thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emílio Custódio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Roma Alviverde had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
