After a rather tough play, GRAVATAI RS's Ramón Silveira got a free kick in the 37th minute. GRAVATAI RS's Emílio Custódio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Quirino in the 38th minute of play. Richard Quirino succeeded in the game's 45th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2.

The wind increased when Carlos Alberto Tavares made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Green Warriors booed when GRAVATAI RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, one of GRAVATAI RS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GRAVATAI RS. Emílio Custódio went to the wrong direction when Donato Sousa was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Ismael Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Green Warriors's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emílio Custódio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Richard Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to GRAVATAI RS getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Ramón Silveira hit a great ball. Green Warriors's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
