Carlos Augusto Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernão Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Carlos Augusto Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 81st minute, Evaristo Rodrigues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Augusto Saraiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Fernão Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Saraiva having to interfere. Carlos Augusto Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Rodrigues in the 87th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cruzeiro GV players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ortopedista.FC.
